Our Story
You're probably wondering why our name is "Barnyard Bamboo" but we're rocking all the edgy vibes. Truthfully, I couldn't decide between the two. My heart was torn between my love of horses and the western lifestyle I've known my whole life, while also embracing my edgy tattooed aesthetic. So I'm rolling with both! If you're like me and don't fit into just one box, you're my people!
Barnyard Bamboo started as a baby shower gift...at least the bamboo obsession did, and it quickly spiraled from there. After 3 years of battling infertility, my husband, Christian, and I were blessed with our little miracle, Dutton. That baby shower gift ended up turning into a full blown obsession of dressing our little chunk in the coolest cool kid attire out there. Small shops always had all the best boy clothes, but even still, I had some ideas I wanted to bring to life.
So, I did what any reasonable person would do. I quit my full-time job with amazing benefits as a police officer for 8 years to become a bamboo reseller on WhatNot. Okay that's not entirely true. I quit because I couldn't stand the idea of missing time with my baby. But I did become a bamboo reseller for one year on WhatNot to learn the business and figure out what prints you all love the most and what prints the bamboo world was missing. In April 2026, Barnyard Bamboo was launched.
